A dreamy bridal shower combining an intimate high tea picnic with chic garden party style – all in the bride’s own garden.
Designer-Photographer Inger Jewel Hughson’s Bridal Shower resembled a dream. The occasion was set in the bride-to-be’s own backyard, bursting with fresh spring growth. It was a picnic affair, referencing the relaxed, family style wedding her and fiancé Alex are planning. Handmade wool cushions, European throws, porcelain tea cups, family heirlooms... need we go on?
Inger designed their wedding invitations, and the standard was set. Whimsical ligatures, eat your heart out! The bridal shower theme followed suit: mature and exceedingly pretty. We love a good example of how maintaining a theme gives you a well-considered and intentional style, as opposed to random and mismatched. Following OccasionLab's wood place card bases DIY, the table setting was garden party perfect.
There was a self-serve cocktail bar, with Chambord and bubbles to boot. Keepsake-style party games so the bride-to-be could have mementoes of her hen party. A picnic table covered in treats, catered by Inger’s talented mother. For party favours, our very own mini macramé DIY were pre-strung and paired with our printable instructions in brown paper envelopes for the guests. Oh, so sweet!
We’re so excited for Inger Jewel and Alexander as they prepare to tie the knot. If this bachelorette send-off is anything to go by, your wedding will be a blast!
